Victor Osimhen was forced off during Galatasaray’s knockout clash against Liverpool at Anfield, sparking concern among fans after the Nigerian striker picked up an early injury.

The incident occurred in the 11th minute when Osimhen challenged for an aerial ball. On landing, he fell awkwardly on his right side, with his wrist taking the full impact against the turf. The forward was left in visible pain and remained on the ground for several minutes as Galatasaray’s medical team rushed to assess the situation.

Although he briefly continued after receiving treatment, it became clear that the injury was affecting his performance. At halftime, Galatasaray’s coaching staff opted for caution, deciding to substitute their key striker to avoid worsening the issue.

Osimhen, who had his wrist heavily bandaged, was replaced by former Bayern Munich forward Leroy Sané as the Turkish side reshuffled their attack for the second half.
