On Friday, December 1st, the women's sprint competition took place in the Swedish city of Ostersund - that was a premier sprint event for women in the new season of the World Cup.

The illustrious gold medal was triumphantly secured by the French biathlete, Lou Jeanmonnot. Demonstrating impeccable marksmanship at the firing lines, she covered the challenging 7.5-kilometer distance in 21 minutes and 4.1 seconds. Karoline Knotten from Norway, who missed the target once and was 8.5 seconds behind first place, is in second place. Juni Arnekleiv, who is also from Norway, claimed the third podium position, finishing 17.6 seconds adrift of Lou Jeanmonnot.
