Under this rule, players who receive a blue card were planned to be temporarily removed from the field for 10 minutes. This news sparked heated discussions online, but FIFA President Gianni Infantino has clearly expressed his opposing opinion on this matter.

"A blue card? This is a topic that does not exist for us at all. If you want a catchy headline, I have one for you: 'Red card - blue card'. No chance, under no circumstances," - said the football official.

It is worth noting that earlier, the possibility of introducing this new rule drew a lot of criticism and discussions from leading football leagues and clubs in Europe. Therefore, it's not surprising that FIFA has decided to abandon the implementation of the new rule in football.
