Former Belgium national team coach Luc Eymael hopes to manage Kaizer Chiefs or Orlando Pirates one day. The coach is currently without a club and is looking for a new job in Africa, where he has already made a name for himself at several major teams.

In an interview with KickOff, Eymael said he would prefer to coach Kaizer Chiefs, as he believes the club has needed change for several years. The coach also highlighted a special argument in favor of his candidacy — his impressive record in fierce rivalry matches.

“I have been very lucky in my career: I have never lost a derby. I have won several and drawn several, but I have never been beaten,” said the coach, who has previously worked with AS Vita Club, TP Mazembe, Simba and Lupopo.

Eymael described the Soweto derby as the biggest in Africa, noting that it attracts more than 80,000 spectators. According to the coach, the tension surrounding such matches in Tanzania and the Democratic Republic of the Congo can be just as intense as in South Africa.
