Hugo Broos in Caf storm after his latest utterances calling out the continental body's lack of planning for Bafana Bafana's training venue
Hugo Broos is again shooting in the dark with his comments.
This time the Bafana Bafana coach was pointing fingers at Caf for Bafana’s logistical arrangements.
“I’m not so happy with the current situation, we are 25 minutes away from our training pitch,” he stated.
“That means that like yesterday we had over two hours to wait, 45 minutes to drive to training, 1 hour 15 minutes training and another 45 minutes drive.
“I don’t understand how CAF allows that – but ok, I have to say it because it makes me unhappy.”
But Caf responded through its head of Television and Communications man, Luxolo September, putting the blame at the Bafana door.
“I can confirm that the team base camp information was released about five months ago, and the onus was on each team or its team manager to assess and provide feedback,” September told SABC Sport.
“A week or two ago, the logistics for the round of 16 were also shared for teams to review and comment on. I am yet to receive any feedback from South Africa.”
For the group stages, Bafana were based at Marrakesh and moved to Rabat for the knockout phase.
