Bafana Bafana were close to a second goal, but the referee saw things differently.
Details: Today, in the opening round of AFCON Group B, South Africa is facing Angola, and the match has already turned into a thrilling spectacle for fans thanks to two goals scored and one disallowed.
Here's what happened: In the 51st minute, South African midfielder Tshepang Moremi found the back of the net against Angola, seemingly putting Bafana in front for the second time in the match. However, after a VAR review, it was determined that a Bafana player was in an offside position, leading to the goal being chalked off.
As things stand, the match has reached the 70th minute with the score locked at 1-1, courtesy of goals from Oswin Appollis for South Africa and Shaw for Angola.
