The 2026 FIFA World Cup is already underway, with the tournament being hosted across three countries: the United States, Canada, and Mexico. Unfortunately, however, a serious threat has emerged over the competition.
Details: According to L'Équipe, an Iranian hacker group known as Handala claims to have breached FBI drones and has issued direct threats against the tournament.
The U.S. State Department is currently offering a reward of up to $10 million for any information that could help identify members of the group.
Meanwhile, controversy has already erupted at the World Cup after referee Wilton Sampaio was forced to keep the players off the pitch longer than scheduled during the hydration break in the Mexico vs South Africa match because broadcaster FOX was airing a commercial break.
Reminder: Just before the opening match of the 2026 FIFA World Cup in Mexico City, an unpleasant incident occurred near the iconic Azteca Stadium.
