World No. 2 Coco Gauff breezed through the first round of Wimbledon 2024.

Today, the young American defeated her compatriot Caroline Dolehide in straight sets.

In the first set, Gauff broke serve in the very first game and left her opponent with no chances, winning 6-1.

The second set followed a similar pattern and concluded with Gauff’s victory at 6-2. In total, Gauff spent 1 hour and 5 minutes securing her win.

In the next round, Gauff will face 19-year-old Romanian Anca Alexia Todoni.
