Former Super Bowl champion Derrick Ward will avoid prison time over allegations of robbing businesses in the Los Angeles area.

Details: According to TMZ Sports, former New York Giants player Derrick Ward will be required to follow mental health treatment recommendations for two years.

The court did not comment on the reasons for such a leniency in his sentencing. The prosecutors also declined to comment on the case.

Reminder: Derrick Ward faced five robbery charges related to various establishments in Los Angeles in 2023. Despite this, the former New York Giants player maintained his innocence.
