Former Mamelodi Sundowns defender Rivaldo Coetzee set to join Betway Premiership side Sekhukhune United for the remainder of the PSL season
Rivaldo Coetzee is on the verge of joining Sekhukhune United.
The former Mamelodi Sundowns defender has been club-less for almost the whole of this season after parting ways with the defending Betway Premiership champions.
Now PSL side Sekhukhune United are roping him to their roster.
The former Bafana Bafana defender spent nine years at Sundowns but his progress at the Tshwane side was hindered b days spent in the doctors room than on the field.
He joined from now defunct Ajax Cape Town and had shown tremendous potential as Scottish giants Glasgow Celtic were interested in his services at some stage of his career.
That move was also scuppered by a failed medical examination in the United Kingdom as it was found he had an underlying foot injury.
Actually, that failed move to Celtic opened the door for the Sundowns deal.
For Sekhukhune United, he seen as a long term signing as the team plans to use his Caf Champions League experience as the Eric Tinkler side are pushing for a Caf spot in the PSL race.
