Former Bafana Bafana goalkeeper Brian Baloyi: Mbekezeli Mbokazi will silence Cameroon's Bryan Mbuemo this evening like he did against Mo Salah
Mbekezeli Mbokazi will silence Bryan Mbuemo this evening as Bafana Bafana face Cameroon in the Africa Cup of Nations.
Mbuemo is one player who poses danger for the Indomitable Lions given that he plays for English Premiership giants in Manchester United, his pedigree cannot be doubted.
But former Bafana and Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper, Brian Baloyi, believes the former Orlando Pirates defender has the ability to silence Mbuemo.
“As much as Mbuemo is a great player, we have seen what he can do at Manchester United,” Baloyi said on Soccer Beat. “We can trust in TLB that he can close him down, the same way he looked after Mohamed Salah.
“I think he loves that type of duels, where he has to close down a big-name player. It is what he enjoys. I think we will see the best of him against Mbuemo.
Baloyi suggested that Bafana should deprive the Indomitable Lions to play to their strengths.
And according to him, high balls are their strong point.
“If we stop Cameroon from making high crosses, half the job will be done. But should the crosses come in, Williams is good at dealing with that,” Baloyi added
The game starts at 9pm in Rabat.
