In the final of the EuroCup basketball tournament, the second most important competition on the continent, French teams Paris and Bourg competed. The basketball club Paris emerged victorious in both matches of the final series, defeating their opponent 77:64 at home and 89:81 away.

This allowed the Parisians to secure a spot in the EuroLeague for the next season. For the first time in this century, the capital of France will have its representative in the EuroLeague. It's worth noting that in February, a new arena with a capacity of 8,000 spectators was opened in the city, which became the home venue for Paris. The new stadium was specifically built for the upcoming Summer Olympics, which will take place this summer in Paris.

Interestingly, the club itself was founded as recently as 2018. One of the founders of the project to create a major basketball club in Paris was David Kahn, a former director of the Minnesota Timberwolves of the National Basketball Association.
