Finally! Barcelona star returns after injury
Hansi Flick has finally received some encouraging news ahead of Barcelona's next LaLiga test.
Details: According to journalist Carlos Monfort, Gavi is set to return to the pitch during Barcelona's training session on Thursday, September 3. The midfielder is expected to complete a significant part of the session alongside his teammates as he continues the final stage of his recovery.
Gavi has been sidelined after taking a heavy blow to his right leg during the league match against Elche. The episode caused particular concern because it involved the same leg in which the Spaniard previously suffered his serious anterior cruciate ligament injury.
Fortunately for Barcelona, subsequent medical examinations ruled out another serious problem. The club had already confirmed that the midfielder suffered only a bruise to his right knee and was expected to return to training shortly.
If Gavi responds well to the increased workload, he could even travel with the Barcelona squad for Sunday's away match against Valencia at Mestalla. It is worth noting that the 22-year-old has been part of Barcelona's first team since 2021, while Transfermarkt currently estimates his market value at €30 million.
Reminder: That's it! Deco closes the door on any more Barcelona signings
