FIFA has published how many transfers clubs made in the winter transfer window
FIFA has compiled its annual official report on the outcomes of the winter transfer window.
According to the FIFA International Transfer Snapshot, a total of 4,716 international transfers were conducted in men's football during the January 2024 window, representing a 0.6% increase compared to the previous year's January.
In both men's and women's football, there were 5,073 international transitions. In men's football, clubs expended a staggering $1.46 billion, marking a historical record for the winter transfer window. In women's football, a record was also established with a total expenditure of $2.1 million.
Surprisingly, the highest expenditures in winter came from French clubs, totaling $291.9 million. England secured the second position, albeit with clubs spending 80% less than the previous year.
