Barcelona is reportedly set to announce the resignation of head coach Roger Grimau soon, as stated by journalist Nemanja Žorić. One potential replacement for Grimau is Dimitris Itoudis, who recently stepped down as the head coach of Fenerbahce.

Grimau took over from Lithuanian coach Šarūnas Jasikevičius at Barcelona in June. While the team currently holds the third position in the Euroleague under the 45-year-old Spaniard, they have faced three defeats in the last four games. In the final game of the year, Barcelona lost to Monaco (71:91).

The Spanish championship also presents a challenging scenario for Barcelona, as they suffered three losses in the previous four games, with a defeat to Unicaja (71:91) on December 27.
