End of Sinner's 26-match winning streak. Alcaraz crushes the Italian in Rome Masters final

The final major tournament before Roland Garros wrapped up in the Italian capital. In the decisive match of the Rome Masters, Jannik Sinner faced off against Carlos Alcaraz.
The Italian had just returned from suspension and immediately stormed into the final of his home event, dropping only a single set along the way. Alcaraz, meanwhile, has been in stellar form on clay this season, having already clinched the Monte Carlo Masters title and reached the final in Barcelona.
The opening set was a tense battle, ultimately decided in favor of the Spanish star in a tie-break. The second set, however, was a one-sided affair—Alcaraz dominated, conceding just one game to the Italian.

Notably, this was Carlos’s first appearance in the Rome Masters final, and he seized his maiden title in the Italian capital. For Sinner, this defeat was his first since October last year, bringing an end to his remarkable 26-match winning streak. Coincidentally, the world No. 1 also lost to Alcaraz in the Beijing final.
