Details: According to the Daily Mirror, David Beckham pocketed over €22 million from advertising contracts during the 2026 World Cup.

Despite hanging up his boots more than a decade ago, the former England captain remained one of the most recognizable faces of the tournament. Beckham starred in advertising campaigns for at least 12 major brands, including Adidas, McDonald's, Lay's, Home Depot, Stella Artois, and Bank of America.

Shakira also enjoyed a hefty payday from commercial partnerships during the World Cup. According to the same source, the Colombian singer earned around €17.5 million.

So, together, Beckham and Shakira raked in nearly €40 million on the back of the tournament.
