Durban City coach Pitso Dladla on reaching the Nedbank Cup final: Reaching the final is not enough as we want to win it to be in the history books
Pitso Dladla Is not happy about guiding Durban City to the Nedbank Cup final but the coach argues he would like to see his side clinch the trophy.
Dladla said in a cup final match no one remembers the runners up and he would like Durban City to write history by winning this competition so the etch their names in history books.
Durban City beat Casric Stars by an odd goal at Chatsworth Stadium yesterday afternoon via an own goal scored by Sphamandla Mlilo in the first half.
“For us we are in the final, we want to be remembered. For us to be remembered we need to win the final,” he told SuperSport TV.
“As much as we won the first on penalties, second on penalties, third one on penalties and this one.
“The most important thing, once we are in the final you have to win it. Even if we go there to the final, then you lose it, nobody will remember you.
“It’s like Bafana Bafana when they won AFCON – we all know Mark Williams, we don’t know who else was there.
