The sixth match of the Round of 16 of Euro 2024 took place in Frankfurt, where Portugal and Slovenia met. The winner of this match went to the quarter-finals, where France was already waiting for him.

This game was the only one at the current European Championship when the spectators did not see any goals - the main time of the match ended in a 0-0 draw. Perhaps the most emotional event of the evening took place in the first overtime: Portugal earned a penalty, but Cristiano Ronaldo lost the duel to Jan Oblak.

It wasn't just Ronaldo next to his teammates who cried after the episode, but also his mum in the stands.

The match came down to a penalty shoot-out. Seleção goalkeeper Diogo Costa made a name for himself as a legend in Euro history: he kicked three penalties. At the same time, his part-timers - Cristiano Ronaldo, Bruno Fernandes and Bernardo Silva - scored three in a row. 0-0 in game time and 3-0 after penalties in Portugal's favour.

Recall that Portugal will meet France in the quarter-finals. The match will take place on Friday, 5 July, and will start at 21:00 CET.
