Cameroon’s national team will head to Morocco in June for a key training camp as preparations intensify ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers and the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
Led by the Cameroonian Football Federation (Fecafoot) president Samuel Eto’o, the Indomitable Lions will play two international friendlies during the break:
- Uganda on June 6
- Equatorial Guinea on June 9
Both matches will be held at the Grand Stade de Marrakech.
Algeria Friendly Talks Fall Through
Reports of a potential blockbuster friendly between Cameroon and Algeria failed to materialize, despite advanced discussions between the two federations.
Rising Star Watch: Christian Kofane
One name creating buzz ahead of the camp is Christian Kofane, the 21-year-old forward from Albacete in Spain’s Segunda División.
- 18 appearances
- 8 goals, 1 assist
His impressive form could earn him a first senior national team call-up, as the coaching staff considers expanding the squad to inject fresh energy.
With two critical competitions on the horizon, this June camp represents a crucial building block for a Cameroonian side aiming to reclaim its place among Africa’s elite.
