However, the "Colchoneros" are not planning to part with their star for a bargain and have set two tough, uncompromising conditions for the Catalans to make the deal possible.
First, the Madrid club demands a one-time payment of 150 million euros, strictly ruling out any installments, multi-year tranches, or loan arrangements.
Second, Atlético has completely ruled out any player exchanges, meaning that options to lower the fee by including Barcelona players in the deal will not even be considered.
It's worth noting that Julián Álvarez is currently representing Argentina at the World Cup, having played three matches so far without any goal contributions. Transfermarkt values the player at 100 million euros.
Reminder: Former Barcelona player moves to Benfica.
