CAF Super Cup: Zakaria Draoui opens the scoring for USM Alger against Mamelodi Sundowns

USM Alger wasted no time in taking the lead in the CAF Super Cup against Mamelodi Sundowns on Sunday 8 November in South Africa. At the Loftus Versfeld Stadium in Pretoria, the Algerians quickly caught their opponents off guard.

It took the Algerian side just four minutes to find the back of the net. Following Algerian side’s very first chance, Zakaria Draoui found the net, giving his team the lead (1-0).

Caught off guard, the South African side Mamelodi Sundowns are now forced to respond to get back into the game. The match is already in full swing and the rest of the contest promises to be particularly hard-fought.

In this clash between last season’s Champions League and Confederation Cup winners, anything is still possible despite USM Alger’s lead. Both teams are expected to pull out all the stops once again.
