CAF Officially Condemns Misconduct During AFCON 2025 Final Between Morocco and Senegal
The Confédération Africaine de Football (CAF) has strongly condemned the unacceptable conduct displayed by some players and officials during the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) Morocco 2025 final between Morocco and Senegal, which took place in Rabat.
In an official statement published on Monday via Cafonline.com, CAF made it clear that such behaviour has no place in African football. The continental governing body emphasized its firm stance against actions that undermine the integrity of the game, particularly those directed at match officials and organizers.
“CAF strongly condemns any inappropriate behaviour which occurs during matches, especially those targeting the refereeing team or match organizers,” the statement read.
CAF further revealed that it is reviewing all available match footage from the final and has confirmed that the incident will be referred to the appropriate disciplinary bodies. The organization added that necessary sanctions will be imposed on individuals found guilty following the investigation.
