In the final match of today's Euro 2024 fixtures, Belgium faced Romania in Cologne in Group E. The Belgians drew conclusions after their shocking defeat to Slovakia and decided not to delay their response. They took the lead early in the game, with Youri Tielemans scoring a precise long-range shot in the 2nd minute. Remarkably, this goal marked the 15th scored from outside the penalty area in the current European Championship.

In the middle of the second half, Romelu Lukaku scored his third goal of the tournament, but the referees spotted a slight offside, and thus all three of Lukaku's goals at Euro 2024 were disallowed. Kevin De Bruyne sealed the match with a goal ten minutes before the final whistle.

At present, Group E appears to be the most intriguing at this European Championship. After two rounds, all four teams have collected three points each. On June 26th, Romania will play against Slovakia, while Belgium will face Ukraine.
