Expect Relebohile Mofokeng to be impressive for Bafana Bafana against Cameroon this evening.

The Orlando Pirates midfielder has revealed he is taking the number 10 role with open arms and he wants to impress.

Hugo Broos, the Bafana coach, has handed Mofokeng his maiden start of the 35th edition of the continental spectacle in Rabat tonight.

The nippy midfielder has not started a game in the group stages and that he is starting against Cameroon signals intent to attack from Broos.

“Before I came here, I was playing in the number 10 position [at Pirates] but I think if a chance [to play 10 in the Bafana team] presents itself, I will use it because I want to play, I want to contribute to the country winning and doing well,” said Mofokeng.

“So, wherever I play I want to do what is in my heart and be able to give the country what it wants.”

Mofokeng is not the only one given his start as Nkosinathi Sibisi and Batusi Aubaas also makes the starting line up.

Sibisi is in Mbatha’s place while Aubaas replaces Sphephelo Sithole.

Given how unimpressed Broos was by Sithole’s display in the game against Zimbabwe, it is not surprising Aubaas is starting.

With the changes made, Broos will be hoping Bafana make it to the quarterfinals by beating Cameroon.

The game starts at 9pm.
