Scouting is an essential part of any football club, as someone has to identify potential reinforcements. However, Manchester United’s management is looking to cut costs in this area as well.

Details: According to The Guardian, Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s sweeping cost reductions across the club will also affect the scouting department. United currently employs 30 full-time scouts and 50 on a temporary basis, but this number is set to decrease. The club has declined to comment on these plans.

It is emphasized, however, that downsizing the scouting department could create issues, especially at a time when the club is already struggling financially to strengthen Rúben Amorim’s first team.

Reminder: For their trip to face Tottenham, the team traveled by bus. However, this was not a result of budget cuts.
