Bruno Fernandes has received another major recognition for his outstanding performances.

Details: Sofascore has officially named Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes its Player of the Season in the Premier League. The Portuguese midfielder finished the campaign with an average Sofascore rating of 7.61, earning the individual award after another highly productive season.

Fernandes started all 35 of his Premier League appearances during the season and once again established himself as one of the most productive attacking midfielders in English football. He scored nine goals and provided 21 assists, finishing the campaign as the league leader in assists.

The Portuguese playmaker also created 33 big chances and was selected in Sofascore's Team of the Week seven times. His influence has carried into the new campaign as well: in Manchester United's recent 5-2 victory over Ipswich, Fernandes scored a hat-trick, provided an assist and received a perfect Sofascore rating of 10.

It is worth noting that Manchester United are also working to secure the long-term future of their captain. The 31-year-old has reportedly been offered a new contract running until 2029, while Transfermarkt currently values him at €45 million.
