Andries Ulderink leaves CT City to join Bayer Leverkusen

Andries Ulderink, who was set to become Cape Town City FC's head coach, has instead joined Bayer Leverkusen as Erik ten Hag’s assistant.
Ten Hag, the former Manchester United boss, recently took over at Leverkusen after Xabi Alonso’s move to Real Madrid. His appointment was confirmed by the German club three weeks ago.
FARPost has learned that Ulderink bid farewell to Betway Premiership side CT City just two weeks after reports indicated his return to the club. Upon arriving in South Africa earlier this month, the Dutchman and CT City chairman John Comitis reportedly had an understanding that he could leave if a strong European offer emerged.
The 55-year-old, whose last managerial role was with Belgium’s Antwerp, was approached by Leverkusen following Ten Hag’s recommendation. The two share a long-standing connection from their time working together in the Netherlands.
