AFCON 2025: Tunisia Gain Confidence After Uganda Win

Tunisia opened their AFCON 2025 campaign with a confident 3-1 victory over Uganda, a result that has lifted spirits in the Carthage Eagles camp ahead of their Group C clash with Nigeria in Fès.

The win handed Tunisia maximum points and sent them top of the group on goal difference after the opening round. Midfielder Hannibal Mejbri said the strong start was vital, noting, “It was important for us to start with a victory… it gives us momentum going into the next games.”

The Nigeria match will be played at the Complexe Sportif de Fès, as Uganda face Tanzania in the other game.
