AFCON 2025: Ademola Lookman Named Man of the Match in Nigeria’s Win Over Tunisia

Ademola Lookman produced a sensational performance to claim the Man of the Match award as Nigeria recorded a hard-fought 3–2 victory over Tunisia in their second group game of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations on Saturday night.

The Atalanta winger was central to Nigeria’s attacking play, directly contributing to all three goals scored by the Super Eagles. Nigeria broke the deadlock moments before halftime when Lookman sent in a quality cross that was clinically finished by Victor Osimhen, giving the Super Eagles a deserved lead.

The winger remained influential after the interval, providing another assist five minutes into the second half as Wilfred Ndidi struck Nigeria’s second goal to stretch their advantage.

Lookman then put the finishing touch on his performance in the 67th minute, scoring Nigeria’s third goal to cap a dominant display.
