AFCON 2025: Senegal Football Federation Files Complaint to CAF Over Team Security and Logistics Ahead of Morocco Final Clash
The Football Federation of Senegal (FSF) has formally written to the Confederation of African Football (CAF) to raise concerns over several irregularities ahead of Sunday’s AFCON 2025 final against Morocco.
In a statement released early Saturday, the FSF highlighted a series of issues affecting the team’s preparations, including inadequate security arrangements upon the squad’s arrival in Rabat, problems with accommodation, substandard training facilities, and challenges in securing a fair ticket allocation for Senegalese supporters.
According to the federation, it had to submit a formal written complaint just to secure suitable hotel accommodation for the team after arriving in the Moroccan capital. The FSF did not provide specific details about the conditions of the initially offered lodging.
The federation explained that it was making these concerns public “in the interest of transparency and to defend the interests of the Senegalese national team.”
