AFCON 2025: Nigeria vs Tunisia to Play in Sold-Out Fez Stadium
Tickets for Nigeria’s AFCON 2025 group match against Tunisia have sold out, setting up a full house at the 40,000-capacity Fez Stadium on Saturday. The sell-out eases concerns over low attendances in Morocco and promises one of the tournament’s loudest nights so far.
Both teams sit on three points after opening wins, making the clash a key decider in Group C. CAF’s ticketing platform confirmed all categories were fully booked, with sales closing 24 hours before kick-off. The development is surprising after Nigeria’s 2–1 win over Tanzania drew just 11,444 fans. Tunisia, however, arrive after a strong 3–1 victory over Uganda.
ESPN journalist Colin Udoh noted online: “Tickets for Nigeria’s game against Tunisia are sold out… Is this a good or not so good thing for Nigeria?”
Former striker Yakubu Aiyegbeni also warned: “We were lucky today… against Tunisia it’s not going to be easy.”
Kick-off is 9pm Nigerian time.
