AFCON 2025: Calvin Bassey to Miss Final if Nigeria Defeat Hosts Morocco

Nigeria defender Calvin Bassey is set to miss the AFCON 2025 final if the Super Eagles overcome tournament hosts Morocco in their semifinal clash.

The Fulham centre-back picked up the yellow card during the first half of the encounter against Morocco, triggering a suspension due to accumulated bookings. As a result, Bassey would be unavailable for the final match should Nigeria progress, dealing a potential blow to the Super Eagles’ defensive setup at a decisive stage of the tournament.
