Aboutrika Hails Morocco After Nigeria Test

Egyptian legend Mohamed Aboutrika praised Morocco after their dramatic Africa Cup of Nations semi-final win over Nigeria, calling the Super Eagles the tournament’s toughest side. Speaking on beIN Sports, he said, “You faced Nigeria, the toughest team in the tournament… God willing, the final will be easier than the match against Nigeria.”

Morocco advanced after a 0-0 draw and a 4-2 penalty shoot-out victory, booking a final clash with Senegal on Sunday. Aboutrika also backed the hosts, adding, “Senegal doesn't know how to play against the host country… congratulations in advance to Morocco.” Nigeria bowed out after an unbeaten run throughout the 2025 tournament campaign.
