"A pathetic sight": Mercedes boss lashes out at Red Bull

The Mercedes-Benz executive director has shared his thoughts on Red Bull's protests at the Canadian Grand Prix.
Details: Following the recent Formula 1 round—the Canadian Grand Prix—Red Bull voiced their dissatisfaction with Mercedes driver George Russell's actions, believing the "Red Bulls" that his victory was not entirely fair.
Today it was announced that Red Bull's appeal was officially rejected, and Mercedes executive Toto Wolff delivered a scathing statement regarding the incident:
"It took Red Bull two hours before they decided to file a protest—so that's on their conscience.
You know, honestly, it's just so pathetic and childishly petty. They already pulled something like this in Miami. Now they've filed two protests. One—they withdrew because it was laughable. They came up with some bizarre reasoning—what they call 'clauses.'
I think the FIA should take a closer look at this—the protest was so far-fetched that it was simply dismissed.
We spent five hours on the second protest—and I still don't understand what they even meant by 'unsporting behavior.' What is that, anyway? Who decides?
I'm 100% sure this wasn't Max Verstappen's initiative—he's a real racer. He definitely wouldn't file a protest over something so trivial," Wolff said in comments to Sky Sports.
Reminder: The Canadian Grand Prix will remain on the Formula 1 calendar for another ten years
