Last weekend, the Formula 1 round took place in Canada, and just a few days later it was revealed that the race will remain a fixture on the championship calendar for years to come.

Details: As officially announced on Formula 1’s social media channels, motorsport fans will be able to enjoy the Canadian Grand Prix for another ten years. The new contract secures the race until 2035.

Incidentally, the Canadian Grand Prix turned out to be dramatic for McLaren — the team that dominated the start of the season suffered a major setback this time. Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris collided with each other on lap 66.

For the record: At the Canadian Grand Prix, young Italian driver Kimi Antonelli claimed third place on the podium, becoming the third-youngest podium finisher in Formula 1 history. Antonelli reached the podium at the age of 18 years, 9 months, and 21 days.
