The organizers of the 2026 World Cup are rolling out a brand-new media regulation.
Details: According to journalist Martyn Ziegler, players and coaches will be required to give TV interviews during halftime. Each national team must provide a representative for a mandatory halftime interview.
Additionally, FIFA is rescheduling pre-match press conferences—they will now take place two days before the game instead of the day prior.
It’s worth noting that the tournament will take place from June 11 to July 19, 2026.
Reminder: It has been announced that the Mexico vs South Africa clash will officially kick off the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
