On July 6, ATP No. 15 Holger Rune (Denmark) defeated Quentin Halys (France, ATP 220) in the 1/16 finals of Wimbledon 2024, coming back from a 0:2 set deficit during the match.

The match concluded with a score of 1:6, 6:7 (4:7), 6:4, 7:6 (7:4), 6:1. The battle lasted 3 hours and 7 minutes.

This marks the 10th successful comeback from 0:2 at Wimbledon 2024, setting a new record for the tournament. The previous record (9 comebacks) was set in 1990 and matched in 1997.

Regarding all Grand Slam tournaments, the most successful comebacks from 0:2 were achieved at the Australian Open 2002, with a total of 14.

Earlier, last year's Wimbledon finalist Novak Djokovic won against Alexei Popyrin in four sets.
