Wow! The country that could host the World Cup has been named
Germany is once again ready to become the epicenter of world football.
Details: According to The Athletic, German Football Association board member Axel Hellmann announced that the country intends to submit a bid to host the World Cup. The DFB is considering two possible editions — the 2038 and 2042 tournaments.
“We would love to host it. There is an initiative from DFB president Bernd Neuendorf and the federation to submit a bid for the 2042 tournament or possibly even 2038,” Hellmann was fully quoted as saying by the source.
At the same time, the German official emphasized that the final decision and the possibility of submitting a candidacy will depend on FIFA's regulations and requirements.
Thus, Germany has already begun preliminary preparations for a possible bidding campaign, but the specific timeline and the country’s format of participation in the race for the tournament will only become clear after FIFA publishes the relevant requirements.
It’s worth noting that the 1974 World Cup was held in West Germany, and the unified nation hosted the tournament again in 2006.
Reminder: A new era! Official: Klopp is the new head coach of the German national team.
