Official: Klopp is the new head coach of the German national team
Jürgen Klopp has officially returned to the coaching bench!
Details: Today, the official website of the German national team announced the appointment of Jürgen Klopp as the new head coach of the national squad.
It is reported that Klopp’s contract with Die Mannschaft runs until 2030 year.
The renowned German tactician replaces Julian Nagelsmann, who was dismissed following Die Mannschaft’s disappointing performance at the 2026 World Cup.
The decision to change managers came after Germany’s sensational defeat to Paraguay in the round of 16 at the World Cup—one of the tournament's biggest upsets. The German Football Association moved swiftly to appoint a successor, opting for one of the most accomplished coaches of the modern era.
This is Klopp’s first experience at the helm of a national team. Previously, he achieved tremendous success at club level, winning the Bundesliga with Borussia Dortmund and lifting both the Champions League and Premier League trophies with Liverpool.
