Samuel Chukwueze says the Super Eagles are fully prepared for their Africa Cup of Nations clash with Mozambique after intense training that included regular penalty practice. The winger spoke to the media on Sunday alongside Calvin Bassey and Bruno Onyemaechi.
Chukwueze featured in most of Nigeria’s group matches and said preparations have been thorough, stressing: “We are getting ready for it… the players and the coaches are ready to give everything tomorrow.” He described Mozambique as “a good side” and warned that Nigeria must respect them.
Eric Chelle’s team finished the group stage with nine points and eight goals from six players. Chukwueze said he is enjoying football. He confirmed: “We have been practising penalties in every training session… we are ready for anything.” Nigeria have won six of eight shoot-outs at AFCON.
