Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen has reportedly threatened to leave the Nigerian national team camp and return to Turkey following an incident involving teammate Ademola Lookman during Nigeria’s emphatic 4–0 victory over Mozambique at the ongoing AFCON 2025 on Monday.

According to Arise News, Osimhen, who was visibly upset after the match following the incident involving teammate Ademola Lookman, allegedly dropped his accreditation badge, declaring that he was “done” with the national team. The report suggests the striker was deeply frustrated by the situation, leading to speculation about a possible withdrawal from the squad.

Following the development, senior officials of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) were said to have stepped in to manage the situation. The federation’s president was reportedly involved in efforts to calm the Napoli forward and prevent the issue from escalating.
