WAFCON 2026: an innovation enables visually impaired supporters to follow the Nigeria - Zambia clash

The 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations is offering something special this Saturday, 1 August, at the Larbi Zaouli Stadium in Casablanca.

As well as the spectacle provided by Nigeria and Zambia on the pitch as part of Matchday 2 in Group C, an initiative has been launched to make the competition more inclusive. Visually impaired supporters at the Larbi Zaouli Stadium in Casablanca are enjoying a unique experience thanks to innovative tablets capable of describing the match in real time.

This technology is based on a tactile feedback system that allows users to follow the movement of the ball, the action on the pitch and the key moments of the match. Thanks to this initiative, visually impaired supporters can fully experience the intensity of the clash between Nigeria’s Super Falcons and Zambia’s Copper Queens.
