Kaizer Chiefs have begun their preparations for the 2025/26 season. The Amakhosi played their first preseason friendly at their training camp in the Netherlands, facing Vitesse Arnhem, who finished last in the Dutch second division.
Details: Nasreddine Nabi’s team opened the scoring through Reeve Frosler, who found the net in the first half. However, a full lineup change at halftime altered the game’s dynamic.
Early in the second half, Dillan Solomons unfortunately scored an own goal, bringing the match level.
Later, the Chiefs struggled to deal with what may have been the tallest player on the pitch, Andy Visser, who scored the winning goal after a long throw-in sailed past the entire Kaizer Chiefs defence. In conclusion, Vitesse won 2–1.
Reminder: Nabi’s team will play four more preseason matches during their Dutch training camp. The next fixture is scheduled for Friday against FC Utrecht.
