After the game, as the teams were heading to the tunnel, a fan jumped from the stands in an attempt to kick Cristiano Ronaldo with both feet. Fortunately for the Portuguese star, a steward nearby reacted swiftly and prevented the attack.

It's hard to imagine the potential consequences for Ronaldo if the fan had succeeded.

It is worth noting that Portugal had already secured their place in the Round of 16 as group winners in the first two rounds. Their first opponent in the knockout stage will be Slovenia, with the match scheduled for July 1.
