OFFICIAL. Barcelona wonderkid joins to Chelsea

Chelsea continues to be active in the transfer market this summer, further strengthening their squad with a new central forward.

Today, Chelsea officially announced the signing of central forward Marc Guillou from Barcelona. Chelsea paid his release clause, which amounted to 6 million euros.

As for the player himself, he signed a contract with Chelsea until the summer of 2030. The 18-year-old Spaniard commented on his transfer:

"It's immense joy to sign for Chelsea and I struggled to sleep ahead of journey here because I was so excited, PL was a dream!"

Guillou made his debut for Barcelona's first team last season and scored the winning goal in his first match against Athletic Bilbao. He also scored in a Champions League match against Antwerp.
