In Matchweek 12 of the English Premier League, Liverpool suffered a heavy home defeat to Nottingham Forest. The Tricky Trees put three unanswered goals past Alisson, and another strike was disallowed by the referee due to a controversial foul.
This loss marks Arne Slot’s second consecutive 0-3 defeat in the Premier League. Before the international break, the Merseysiders were also thrashed by Manchester City. Remarkably, Liverpool hasn't endured back-to-back league defeats by three or more goals since 1965, during the era of Bill Shankly, under whom the club won the English title three times.
Interestingly, after 12 rounds, Liverpool has dropped out of the Premier League’s top 10. Currently, Slot’s men sit 11th in the table and are at risk of being overtaken by arch-rivals Everton.
