The transfer of Nice's leading defender, Jean-Clair Todibo, to Manchester United has fallen through, as reported by renowned insider Fabrizio Romano.

It is noted that this move is currently invalid and unlikely due to UEFA regulations.

Negotiations with all interested parties had been ongoing for several months, but Nice and Manchester United share the same owner and will compete in the same European tournament next season.

This contradicts UEFA rules, so the transfer will not be given the "green light."

Jean-Clair Todibo joined Nice in 2021 from Barcelona. In the recently concluded season, the 24-year-old defender played in 33 matches across all competitions and provided three assists.

Earlier it was reported that Manchester United will try again to get the Dutch talent.
