The special one in fury. World champion stuns Mourinho
José Mourinho has been left deeply disappointed by Rodri's decision to continue his career at Barcelona instead of joining Real Madrid. According to Spain's SPORT, the Portuguese manager was in utter disbelief at the news and reacted with intense anger.
Rodri was considered Mourinho’s top transfer target. The coach had envisioned his Real Madrid tactical setup with the World Cup winner anchoring the midfield, regarding the player as the final missing piece in his squad. However, the transfer collapsed, and the Madrid board informed Mourinho during several conversations that there would be no further midfield reinforcements. Now, the coach is forced to rethink his tactics with the players currently at his disposal.
It’s expected that Bernardo Silva and Arda Güler will take on more significant roles in ball progression. The Portuguese midfielder may drop deeper to operate alongside Aurélien Tchouaméni, while Güler is set to become the team’s primary playmaker.
Rodri’s decision may also impact Tchouaméni’s future. Manchester United had been monitoring the situation closely and were hoping to land the Frenchman if Real signed Rodri.
