Breaking! Barcelona pull off massive transfer for Ballon d'Or winner
Barcelona are on the verge of pulling off one of the biggest transfers of the summer. According to Fabrizio Romano, the Catalan club has reached an agreement to sign Manchester City midfielder Rodri. The renowned Italian insider used his trademark phrase “Here we go,” effectively confirming the deal is done.
Barcelona’s interest in Rodri has persisted throughout the summer. The Blaugrana have been searching for a player capable of orchestrating play from the heart of midfield, and the Spaniard himself, according to numerous reports, has been keen on a return to his homeland.
The arrival of the 30-year-old Spaniard will be a major boost for Hansi Flick’s squad. Rodri is widely regarded as one of the best defensive midfielders in modern football and clinched the Ballon d'Or in 2024. He became a pivotal figure at Manchester City, helping the club win the Premier League, Champions League, and a host of other trophies.
